The Bose TV Speaker improves upon the best-selling Solo 5 system. It is notably louder, has clearer dialogue, and overall improved acoustic performance. It also adds HDMI-CEC connectivity to be compatible with today’s A/V equipment and your current TV remote. Lastly, the Bose TV Speaker has a sleeker, lower-profile design, preventing it from blocking the bottom edge of the TV.

Yes. The Bose TV Speaker improves upon the Dialogue mode of the Solo 5 System, so now your dialogue is even clearer for TV and/or podcasts. Dialogue mode offers enhanced speech and pronunciation. It analyzes what you’re watching, separates the vocals from other audio elements and amplifies them. Additionally, the Bose TV Speaker allows Dialogue mode to be set as “persistent,” so you no longer have to enable it every time you turn on the product.

Yes. The Bose TV Speaker can be wall mounted with the Bose Soundbar Wall Bracket (sold separately). This is the same current bracket that is used for the Bose Soundbar 500 and 700.

The Bose TV Speaker is designed for use with almost any TV with an optical audio output (optical cable included) or HDMI-ARC connectivity (HDMI cord sold separately). Most HDTVs are also HDMI-CEC enabled, meaning if you have such a TV and connect your Bose TV Speaker with an HDMI cable, you can continue using the same remote control you are currently using.

Yes. You can enjoy your music and podcasts streamed wirelessly from a Bluetooth-enabled portable device that supports streaming.

Yes. The Bose TV Speaker can play music in synchronized 1-1 connection with any Bose smart speaker or soundbar using Bose SimpleSync technology. This functionality is being controlled by the smart speaker or soundbar in the Bose Music app. Note, you cannot connect a pair of headphones to the Bose TV Speaker for synchronized audio/video grouping.

Compatible products: Bose Home Speaker 500, Home Speaker 300, Bose Portable Home Speaker, Bose Smart Soundbar 900, Bose Smart Soundbar 700, Bose Smart Soundbar 600, Bose Soundbar 500, or Bose Smart Soundbar 300.

No. If you want to listen to your TV with headphones, you should use the TV’s headphone output. Many TVs have a headphone output.

No.

If your TV is HDMI-CEC enabled, you can connect the Bose TV Speaker to your TV using an HDMI cable (sold separately) and continue to use the remote control you are already familiar with to control your TV. HDMI-CEC will allow the Bose TV Speaker to automatically turn on when you turn on your TV and your existing remote control will control the Bose TV Speaker volume.

If you connect the Bose TV Speaker to your TV using the supplied optical cable, you can use the included remote. Or you can program a third-party universal remote to control (please refer to your universal remote control for programming instructions and the appropriate Bose IR codes). Also, the soundbar can be programmed to “learn” the volume and mute commands from your existing remote. See Using another remote to control your Bose system in the Bose Support section for instructions.

However, for music streaming, you need the included remote to place your Bose TV Speaker in Bluetooth mode and connect your Bluetooth-enabled device for the first time. Once connected, you do not need the remote moving forward. You can go to your Bluetooth settings and “force connect” from previously paired devices.

You can simply “force connect” your previously paired device to the Bose TV Speaker by going to your device’s Bluetooth settings menu and selecting the Bose TV Speaker. This will automatically switch to the Bluetooth source. It will also turn on the Bose TV Speaker if the speaker is off and put it into the Bluetooth source.

The Bose TV Speaker is Roku TV Ready™ certified. That means the TV Speaker is designed and certified to work seamlessly with a Roku TV™. When you connect your TV Speaker to a Roku TV™ through the HDMI ARC port, you’ll enjoy smooth, automatic setup, easy access to the TV Speaker sound settings in the Roku TV™ on-screen menu, and compatibility with the Roku TV™ remote.

The Bose TV Speaker may require a software update to support Roku TV Ready™. Roku TV Ready™ is not available in all regions. For more information, visit: go.roku.com/rokutvready.

Roku TV,™ Roku TV Ready™ and the Roku TV Ready™ logo are trademarks of Roku, Inc.

Yes. There is a bass level adjustment located on the remote control.

Yes. You can connect the optional Bose Bass Module 500 or Bose Bass Module 700 to the Bose TV Speaker via a wired connection. This requires the Bose Bass Module Connection Cable or a standard 3.5 mm cable (sold separately).

No.

No.

Any device with an HDMI-ARC, optical, or analog audio output can be connected to the Bose TV Speaker. However, we strongly recommend that customers only connect the TV Speaker to the TV’s output, so sound and picture will always be in sync.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great soundbar In my opinion this soundbar outdoes itself. Iam 84 years old and wear hearing aids and the sound coming from the soundbar far otways my previous one. But i do have one dislike that being the remote. It is small and cumbersome to use and does noy show on the TV the amount of volume i like.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Like the sound I bought it from BestBuy two weeks back and I really impressed with the sound and thought to buy the bass module and additional wireless satalite speaker but unfortunately it doesn't support wireless connectivity that's quite unfortunate. Bose, please add this options if it's possible anyway by firmware update.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better sound really helps improve TV watching This Bose TV Speaker dramatically improves the sound from my TV. Speech and mid frequencies are much easier to hear and discern. With the built-in speakers speech was sometimes indistinguishable and I had to increase the volume to occasional uncomfortable levels. There is now bass and some rumble where there was previously none. The highs are also improved from the built-in TV speakers, there is some sparkle and increased clarity there as well. This improvement is noticed most dramatically when watching movies or concerts, but regular everyday, casual watching benefits as well. Once you get use to the better sound it is difficult to go without a soundbar for your television. Setup was easy and straight-forward, I tried both optical and HDMI-ARC connections and settled with HDMI-ARC due to preferring the volume control integration with the original TV remote. The speakers are thin and blend in well with the television and stand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Theater Sound I have had this for a couple of weeks now and I absolutely love it! This Bose TV Speaker has the most amazing sound. It is as if you are sitting in the theater watching a moving! It is so easy to set up and use and the fact it comes with a remote control Is the icing on the cake. The one thing it needs is a way to tell if the base is coming from the TV or the Speaker, also a digital window that shows the speaker volume, as there is no way to tell how high the volume is and if you have hearing issues, like me..well... it can get loud to other family members. But other then that, This is One of the Best TV Speakers made!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great sounding speakers - bass is lacking Let me start off by saying that I have a Samsung soundbar that is about 6 years old that I paid roughly ~$100 for on sale (it even came with a wired subwoofer). I was excited to get this Bose TV speaker as I thought my sound would be significantly better. While it was a little better than the Samsung, it wasn't by much. The bass was severely lacking compared to my Samsung which was expected since there was no included subwoofer. However, if I want a subwoofer to add onto this, I'd have to shell out another $400-$700, something that I could never justify seeing as I could get a full on 5.1 surround sound system that sounds better for about the same price. I would have loved to try this speaker with a subwoofer, but the price range is way out of normal everyday people's budgets.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's an amazing sound experience! Just to set the stage for you.. I have an older, cheap tv.. I have an optical audio output, so that is what I am using. Never really thought I would need or want an external speaker for my TV.. we don't watch much TV in general. But it was time to try something different, and audio quality is, in my opinion, the place to start. When I first set up the TV Speaker (dead simple, by the way.. optical connection and power, boom, done!) I was ready to hear an amazing transformation of sound.. Initially, the change in sound was so drastic, that it threw me for a few minutes.. it just didn't sound "right" - it took about 10 minutes of trying different channels and formats and then it just hit me! The new audio quality sounds so rich, clear and the soundstage is so wide! Can't imagine going back to my factory speakers.. ever.. The audio quality is amazing, as I would expect from Bose. We watched Hamilton and the experience was fabulous. At higher volumes, the sound is just amazing, not narrow, like my factory speakers. My only complaint (and this is totally because of an older TV) is that I have to use the Bose remote to adjust the volume. Other than that, it's amazing. And Dialogue mode is just another bonus! Voice Audio is so much more available and clear in that mode. It's not that it isolates the dialogue, it accentuates it to a point where it is much more clear than the background clutter noise.. If I had more of a theater room, I would be springing for the bass module!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not set up for control through optical cable I connect the device to Bose via the included optical cable from a Sony Brava TV that is also used as computer monitor, thus I can listen to online music sources, too. Works great except I cannot use the TV remote vol control to set the sound level. Why or how can I set up the vol control to control sound level. One remote should control all.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from We CAN Watch TV Together Again:) Does your wife complain that you listen to TV programs at a level that makes her ears bleed? Do you turn up the sound because you you want to hear the voices in TV programs? Does every thing in the TV program but the dialogue seem really loud and voices seem to be at the level of a whisper? Finally some help! This TV speaker from Bose amplifies the dialogue and reduces all other sound. When I could finally hear the dialogue and enjoy TV programs again , I asked my wife if the sound was too loud. She said no!!. The only reason I didn't give this product five stars is because it doesn't have a way to control (increase or decrease) this wonderful dialogue boosting effect. Thank you, Bose!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I should have read the fine print I knew it would not have the bass I'm use to. But it was even less. Also it requires another remote on the coffee table. Boo

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A step up from the television speakers I had a Bose Home Theater system. Would not power up. Took it to Best Buy where I bought it several years ago. I was told to just give it to them for recycling because it was not worth repairing. Now I believe it only needed a fuse. This sound bar is nowhere close to that system. Even the small Revolve Soundlink is better. I want my home theater system back.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not Happy Set up on my Samsung TV through HDMI Arc. Worked for a few days. Now I can't get it to keep the connection. Last night I could not get it to find the speaker at all. I will try blue tooth next, but very dissapointed. Sounds great when working.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's small and compact. It works pretty well, not quite what I expected. Hook up was easy, sound could be better. I didn't want to spend a lot on the Bose, they are very expensive, but good quality.

Can’t use the remote I have (1) to control the sound?? I need another remote just for the sound?? Crazy. Other than THAT…..Sounds great.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bose TV Speaker Sound Quality Not Great I bought this about one month ago. Easy install and setup but "tinny" sound quality, even after adjusting bass settings. I had been using the Bose Cinemate which offered much deeper and richer sound quality.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks Neat. Just wanted more. Out of the box I was really excited to try this new sound bar. It looked sleek and stylish and very well made. It was extremely easy to set up and get running. I was able to connect to my television with both the HDMI cable and via bluetooth. I was impressed by the ease of the installation. The remote was very nice as well. The instructions were very, very easy to follow and the remote was very easy to use. All the functions worked very well. I was, however, disappointed in the overall sound. I tried out all the different settings and functions and not much changed. The speaker was basically a louder version of the speakers built into the TV. I tried several different levels of bass to see if I could make the sound have a richer quality but I just couldn't do it. If you're looking for a louder sound this sound bar definitely fits the bill for sure. I was just looking for a more total package system. It does give a very high quality sound for sure, though. The quality was very nice and crisp.
