Yes. The Bose TV Speaker improves upon the Dialogue mode of the Solo 5 System, so now your dialogue is even clearer for TV and/or podcasts. Dialogue mode offers enhanced speech and pronunciation. It analyzes what you’re watching, separates the vocals from other audio elements and amplifies them. Additionally, the Bose TV Speaker allows Dialogue mode to be set as “persistent,” so you no longer have to enable it every time you turn on the product.
Yes. The Bose TV Speaker can be wall mounted with the Bose Soundbar Wall Bracket (sold separately). This is the same current bracket that is used for the Bose Soundbar 500 and 700.
The Bose TV Speaker is designed for use with almost any TV with an optical audio output (optical cable included) or HDMI-ARC connectivity (HDMI cord sold separately). Most HDTVs are also HDMI-CEC enabled, meaning if you have such a TV and connect your Bose TV Speaker with an HDMI cable, you can continue using the same remote control you are currently using.
Yes. You can enjoy your music and podcasts streamed wirelessly from a Bluetooth-enabled portable device that supports streaming.
Yes. The Bose TV Speaker can play music in synchronized 1-1 connection with any Bose smart speaker or soundbar using Bose SimpleSync technology. This functionality is being controlled by the smart speaker or soundbar in the Bose Music app. Note, you cannot connect a pair of headphones to the Bose TV Speaker for synchronized audio/video grouping.

If your TV is HDMI-CEC enabled, you can connect the Bose TV Speaker to your TV using an HDMI cable (sold separately) and continue to use the remote control you are already familiar with to control your TV. HDMI-CEC will allow the Bose TV Speaker to automatically turn on when you turn on your TV and your existing remote control will control the Bose TV Speaker volume.
If you connect the Bose TV Speaker to your TV using the supplied optical cable, you can use the included remote. Or you can program a third-party universal remote to control (please refer to your universal remote control for programming instructions and the appropriate Bose IR codes). Also, the soundbar can be programmed to “learn” the volume and mute commands from your existing remote. See Using another remote to control your Bose system in the Bose Support section for instructions.
However, for music streaming, you need the included remote to place your Bose TV Speaker in Bluetooth mode and connect your Bluetooth-enabled device for the first time. Once connected, you do not need the remote moving forward. You can go to your Bluetooth settings and “force connect” from previously paired devices.
You can simply “force connect” your previously paired device to the Bose TV Speaker by going to your device’s Bluetooth settings menu and selecting the Bose TV Speaker. This will automatically switch to the Bluetooth source. It will also turn on the Bose TV Speaker if the speaker is off and put it into the Bluetooth source.
The Bose TV Speaker is Roku TV Ready™ certified. That means the TV Speaker is designed and certified to work seamlessly with a Roku TV™. Great for dialogue!
I already had a Bose sound bar that I was pretty happy with, but I thought I would try the latest model because it has to be better, right? Well it is better for what I am looking for, which is emphasis on dialogue in tv shows and movies. They even have a special button on the remote that increases the dialogue crispness even more. So I am very happy with the purchase.

Couldn’t go wrong with Bose, yet I didn’t expect what this little critter would do for Bluetooth music, turned up the bass just a little, WOW! Now using it for music almost as much as TV. Sounds just as good as my S1 Pro, just not as loud ;-)

Good Entry into Soundbars
This soundbar was a transition from a 5.1 into a simplistic way of listening. My first impression was that the bar felt heavy and sturdy. The asthetic is like that of most of the bars in the market right now; the less on there, the better. Upon connecting, came my revelation that I was no longer on a reciever, and the set up, moreover, the application, would be different. Connectivity is simple, but limited. Again, this comes from a reciever that allowed for multiple HDMI connections, and now I had to re-route everything into the TV; which is also limited to 3--caviat--it's all burried within the wall, so it will require a litte more work. Wires exposed aside, I can move on, because the sound is amazing. I was able to hear a lot of very clear dialogue as the included remote control promotes this. The surround is suprisingly solid-to be technical would be disingenuous, as the specs will relate it better than I could. This bar is an update from the previous one where it was only via optical cable that one could connect; now it is HDMI, and it should be a game changer for everyone.

Very good sound
The sound from this sound bar was way better than I would have expected. It has a dialogue mode which is great for those times when you really just want to hear every word people are saying. I only use it for the TV but it has Bluetooth as well. The music from it is really decent. It's not going to compete with a thousand dollar sound system but it's definitely better than your sick TV audio.

Definite Volume Upgrade
After using only a television for sound all these years, I decided to make a low-cost upgrade. I went with Bose because I felt like I'd get the most boost for my buck. It's a slick-looking device. It's low profile and doesn't draw attention visually. I felt that installing it was super simple. It essentially took less than two minutes. There were two cables to plug in. That was it.
The quality of the sound is very dynamic. Movies had such flat audio previously, but now it feels like I'm in a theater. I watch a lot of video where people are just talking (no action, etc) and I found that the voice boost option is very helpful in hearing the voices clearly. This works good for other types of shows, too, like movies and sitcoms. The only issue that I had in this regard is that even with bass boost turned off, I can get a sort of low rumbling sound while watching something with only dialogue. For instance, I may get it while viewing the news. I don't know if that's sound that is present in the audio that just wasn't discernible previously or what. I can't find any way to remove this. Overall, it doesn't diminish my viewing enjoyment.
I have also cast audio from other devices to the speaker, which was quick and easy, and connected via Bluetooth to listen to music. I love that option.

Its a good speaker for home use, the Bluetooth gets connected easily. The speaker looks good and sleek and turns on the green light in voice clarity mode. The bass is less as.xompared to.ither speakers I have. All in all good speaker for living room

Bose does it again. This tv speaker is amazing. Nice clear crips sound. You can hear the small details to make your at home movie watch seem like you're in a theater. Perfect for gaming. I can hear the enemy footsteps near me and my team talking so if I dont feel like using headphones I still know what's going on in the match. So much sound from such a small product. I've been a bose fan for years and have always focused on headphones and earplugs. But this is a must buy. Easy installation, sleek nice design. Fits perfectly under tv part of you want it to sit flushed. Amazing sounds quality. Remote is that perfect medium size where you know its not small enough to loose or get bke on a fall or step on. Which I have done with other brand's remotes. Even packaging is perfect. Worth every penny. I highly recommend this product.

Great TV Speaker!
Great buy! I reviewed lots of speakers (this one especially) and found myself always coming back to the Bose Tv Speaker. It is perfect for what I was looking for. Me and my wife just got our first place and it works great for our small living room. The sound is very crisp and base levels are punchy giving you an overall great sound. My only complaint is it is hard to tell what the volume is at and when you adjust the base you can tell what level its on. Other than that I love this small compact speaker. Also a great bluetooth speaker. Thank you Bose for producing a great product.

great simple to use soundbar
have had the speaker for a few days and its great. Setup took 5 minutes tops. I setup it up with HDMI ARC so it auto turns on when the TV turns on and the sound quality is so much better than my TV's speakers. A cool feature is that I can connect the soundbar to my Bose home speaker and have music inside my house from the soundbar as well as out on the deck with the portable home speaker, each with adjustable volume level. I have already recommended this to a buddy of mine.

Awesome sound!
My wife and I recently bought a 4k smart TV for our bedroom. We needed a sound bar to enhance the volume, so we bought the Bose speaker. I must say that it was the best decision we ever made, the sound is crisp and the bass is deep. In fact, we bought another one for our TV in the office. It might be small in size, but delivers!

Wish we had gotten one long ago!
First things first.....I wish I had gotten one of these long ago! The sound difference is simply amazing, I could not believe it. When we turn our TV up, we get a tinny sound from the speakers inside of it, that immediately stopped with this speaker. Setup was a breeze, optical cable plugged to TV and speaker and we were done. Right away we noticed a huge difference in the sound and sound quality, I couldn't believe it. The low profile design made it perfect to set on top of the stand and its barely noticeable. The quality of sound playing music makes us feel like we are at a concert at home! I wish we had gotten one of these long ago! Now we need to add them to the other TV's in the house and our gaming center.

I wasn't really watching tv before bose!
So it's been a few weeks of owning the Bose sound bar. My husband and I set it up in our bedroom. We are never able to hear the tv unless it's cranked up to 40! With the Bose sound bar, we can not have it cranked up and still be able to hear a pin drop in the movie! You can hear every footstep, every tree sway/leaves rustling, the breeze blowing through the air....even with a fan running in the background! It's amazing the sound quality of this bar. I seriously do not know how we lived without this product. It's like being at the movies, but in the comfort of our own bed!!

What I love about all my Bose products is their reliability, quality sound and ease of use. This speaker was the easiest to set up, it's size is perfect for my decor and the balance of lows and highs is unmatched. The fact that it turns on when my TV is activated is cool and that it pairs so well with my phone when I enter the room to broadcast onto the TV as well. Love the smaller size too.

As hard-core Bose is it’s the most easy and smooth learning experience of my life. Love the quality sound I get from the Bose sound bar. Crisp clear sound with bass
I have always been a fan of Bose everything for sound and this sound bar proved how great even a simple small speaker can be. This sound bar has such a clear sound with lots of bass. You can hear the voices so clearly. The speaker is small light weight and extremely easy to hook up. This Bose TV Speaker sounds awesome! It is small with a compact design that doesn't take up a whole lot of space. It does come with mounting options if you want. Right out of the box setup was easy and the small remote allows you to push the Bluetooth button so I can sync it to my Android phone in seconds. Just like that it goes from a TV speaker to a phone and/or Alexa speaker that supplies great sound! Voices are much more clear with the Bose speaker over the stock projector speakers. Even the remote came with a battery already. It has decent bass but not the floor vibrating type which is great for me because I don’t want to keep my kid up at night. It is nice that there is an option to by a separate subwoofer if I did want more bass. It has Dialogue mode so you can enhance the vocals and hear people talking better. This has been one my biggest peeves with other soundbars, not being able to clearly hear words. If you are looking for a high quality upgrade for your tv room, get this! It is compact, easy to set up, sounds great, and a great value for high quality speaker.

Quality!
I never knew what I was missing with sound quality until using this product! The difference this product makes to my viewing or music listening is far better than I could’ve expected. The set-up was SO EASY! I’m not an electronics whiz but I set this device up in under 5 minutes and had the connectivity set in under 10 minutes. I haven’t looked into adjusting the factory sound settings because I don’t find it necessary. Excellent quality and a product that exceeds my expectations.

The Bose TV Speaker is the best speaker I have ever had the honor of using. When the speaker arrived it was in a well packaged. The Bose speaker comes with two chords: the power chord and a s optical chord. There is however an option for an HDMI chord as well. When I tell you it is the easiest speaker in the world to hook to your television, you literally just plug up the two chords included and there you have it. You can adjust the speaker where it automatically turns on when you power on your television. On the remote control there are volume buttons and a dialogue button. You can also adjust the bass. The bass and volume go so loud it feels like being in a movie theatre. The dialogue button makes the sound change so if you were to watch a movie or say when your playing a video game it will adjust to what you are watching become sound appropriate. There is also a great feature for bluetooth. Which in this day and age is necessary to listen to music, of course, from you phone. You also can have the sound from the television muted or playing simultaneously with the speaker. Now to talk about the sound, I can honestly say I have NEVER heard a more crisp and clear sound from any television and I mean it. This is absolutely hands down the best speaker in sound and quality I have ever used. I cannot tell enough about how amazing the difference of having the speaker or just having the television itself sounds. It's similar to using a hearing aid I never knew I needed. So crisp and clear. Everyone should get this speaker!

Sleek, elegant, powerful, accurate
This sound bar was a solid purchase. It is resting upon a black TV stand under a 65 inch 4K TV and it just disappears into the room. It’s visible in daylight or with the lights turned on at night but if you’re not paying attention, because of how well this thing fits in, you might be fooled into thinking it is the TV pumping out the majestic sounds that this little guy can reproduce. I really love the way it looks with the rounded off edges and the opaque and dark grey color just seems universal and could fit in nicely almost anywhere without being plain old black.
I tested the HDMI ARC port and it works great. I tried the optical input and it had no issues playing movies. Dialogue in movies is clear. Treble instruments in music are crisp, clean, and three-dimensional. The bass sounds nice and punchy in movies or in electronic music or anything with a pronounced kick drum or thick bass line.
This is a really versatile and unique sound bar in its simplicity and it’s sound relative to size. Bose is really good at making small speakers pressurize a room and give you the impression of larger speakers while still retaining clarity and precision in sound reproduction, and this sound bar is the latest and greatest in that aspect.
Bluetooth works great. It plays nice and clearly and please let me reiterate the bass is ridiculous. I am really impressed.
One thing I would have liked was for the “Bass” port to work with any subwoofer, but the ability to add one of the Bose Bass modules seems promising. I am really entertaining the idea of purchasing the Bass Module 700 for an even richer movie and bass head experience. But until then I will continue enjoying this marvel of a Soundbar.
5 stars, no questions asked. This was a worthy purchase and truly a bargain at its current price point.

Great sound from just a bar
This is just a sound bar with no amp to help with the sound. I absolutely love the sound from every bose product as they are far superior to any other speaker in the market. This speaker has minimal wiring, which made the set up so quick and simple, and best of all is that it is Bluetooth capable which allows you to get your house rocking for parties by connecting right to your phone. I love the pitch and bass from this mini sound bar.

I really like this new TV Speaker by Bose. The sound quality on this speaker is great. Compared to the tv on its own, the sound bar outshines the sound by a mile. This was extremely easy to setup as all I had to do was plug the speaker in the wall and one cord to my tv and it worked.
I liked the bluetooth aspect of this as well as it was very easy to connect the speaker to my phone and play music through it. The speakers worked just a good with my phone as it did going through the tv.
The remote is a little small and might be easy to loose if you don't put it in a specific place, but is not a deal breaker. I really like that it has space on the back to add more bass later on if I so choose. Overall I really like this TV Speaker!

This Bose TV Speaker adds such a depth of sound to our entertainment experience! The setup could not have been easier or gone more smoothly! The TV sound bar is slightly bulkier than some but it definitely provides the sound quality that you know and love from Bose. The small remote makes for a very easy user experience and allows you to adjust settings from your seat. You can not only hook your TV and speaker system in one but you can also Bluetooth your mobile device to the speaker. The base adds such a professional sound to our usual movies. I highly recommend this Bose TV Speaker to ANYONE & EVERYONE!
