Bose QuietComfort Headphones are the successors to QuietComfort 45 Headphones. They deliver high-fidelity audio performance and world-class noise cancellation that allow you to hear more of your music and movies — while traveling, at the office, or at home.

QuietComfort Ultra Headphones offer our most premium design and our most advanced technologies, for the best Bose listening experience in a headphone. With QuietComfort Ultra Headphones, you will enjoy our best headphone noise cancellation, audio quality personalized with CustomTune, and voice pickup, among other premium features.

Immersive Audio allows you to hear audio as if it were coming from beyond your QuietComfort Ultra Headphones, thereby allowing for a more spacious, natural listening experience. Your music and other audio will have a wide sound stage in front and to the sides, just as if you were listening to a pair of stereo speakers and seated at the sweet spot between them.

Bose CustomTune technology is a proprietary Bose technology that optimizes the audio playback you hear based on the unique physical properties of your ear and ear canal. It works by playing a specially designed calibration tone as the welcome chime each time you power on the headphones while wearing them. It then measures how the shape of your ear uniquely modifies that sound. The headphones use that information to adjust their sound to your ears, creating a more balanced, authentic audio experience.

Proprietary TriPort acoustic headphone structure utilizes external ports to vent the earcups and effectively enlarge the acoustic volume, without increasing the size of the earcup. The result is better audio and active noise reduction from a smaller, lighter, more comfortable headphone.

Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones utilize both active and passive noise reduction technologies. They use a sophisticated proprietary electronics approach for active noise reduction, placing microphones both inside and outside the earcups. The electronics system senses the sound in almost any environment and then measures, compares, and reacts — instant by instant — to produce an opposing cancellation signal. Meanwhile, passive noise reduction is achieved by the combination of earcup fit, design, and clamping force of the headband.

QuietComfort Ultra Headphones have three controls on the right earcup: a Bluetooth/power button at the bottom, a multi-function button in the back, and a capacitive volume strip along the edge. Additionally, the headphones are equipped with on-head/off-head detection, which is another way to control the product.

• The Bluetooth/power button is used to power the headphones on/off, put the headphones in pairing mode, cycle through paired devices, and more.

• The multi-function button supports audio playback (e.g., play/pause/skip), telephony (e.g., answer/decline calls), mode switching (e.g., Quiet, Aware, Immersion), and more.

• Swiping along the volume strip changes volume, and pressing and holding on it activates a user-configurable shortcut.

• Putting the headphones on and taking them off controls wake/sleep/auto-off and resume/pause. Auto-off can be customized in the Bose Music app.

Listening modes are collections of headphones settings that you can name and access with a single action. You can combine the following settings in a mode:

• Noise cancellation level

• Wind Block on/off

• ActiveSense on/off (applicable only in Aware mode)

• Immersive Audio setting

Three modes are provided by default:

• Quiet: noise cancellation set to maximum; all other settings off

• Aware: noise cancellation set to Aware; all other settings off

• Immersion: noise cancellation set to maximum; Immersive Audio set to Motion

With the Bose Music app, you can create your own custom modes as well as switch between modes.

ActiveSense listens for very loud outside sounds and selectively applies noise cancellation briefly during those sounds. This way, you can remain aware of your surroundings without having your music drowned out by interruptions like passing vehicles and loud appliance motor noises such as a coffee grinder or blender. ActiveSense can be enabled and disabled in the Aware mode setting.

Wind Block is a setting you can use when your environment is windy. Wind Block mutes the microphones on the outside of the earcups used for noise cancellation so that gusts of wind do not cause system responses that become noise disturbances in themselves. Note that the exterior microphones used for voice pickup are not muted, so if you’re on a call, the person on the other end will still hear the wind.

Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones also give you two options when it comes to audio EQ. Do nothing and the bass, midrange, and treble of whatever you’re listening to will be adjusted automatically to make it sound great. Or choose Equalizer in the settings of the Bose Music app to change the audio levels yourself to however you like them best. Either way, you’ll enjoy immersive sound at any volume.

Yes. QuietComfort Ultra Headphones have an adaptive microphone system that allows you to use the headphones during calls when connected to any smartphone. In addition to traditional calls, the headphones will work with many apps that use Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), such as Teams, Zoom or FaceTime. The microphone system adapts to your environment to isolate your voice from competing background noises and wind so that you can confidently take a call, knowing you will be heard clearly and naturally. In addition, self-voice allows you to hear yourself naturally, as if you weren’t wearing headphones at all, so you can monitor the volume of your voice and minimize the effects of speaking while wearing headphones.

First, make sure your headphones are turned on with the slider switch in the middle “On” position. Next, slide and hold the switch to the Bluetooth icon until the Bluetooth LED flashes blue or when the voice prompt indicates the headphones have entered into pairing mode. Please note, if this is your first time connecting the headphones, they will automatically turn on into pairing mode. Voice prompts will provide you with additional guidance. We recommend using the Bose Music app to complete the pairing process, however, Bluetooth settings on your device can be used to complete pairing.

Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones have a range of up to 30 ft (9 meters) from the source device. This range may be reduced by physical obstructions, such as walls and doors, or by interference from other electronic devices. Pops or a cracking noise may be heard if there’s interference with the Bluetooth connection. If that happens, move away from wireless routers or microwaves and bring your headphones closer to the Bluetooth device.

The headphones can be charged using the USB-C cable supplied in the box and plugging into a USB port on a PC, laptop, or wall charger. Allow up to 2 hours for the headphones to fully charge. The battery light indicator will show an amber light while the headphones are charging and turn green when fully charged. When you don’t have time for a full charge, the fast-charge feature provides up to 3 hours of play time from a quick, 15-minute charge.

No. QuietComfort Ultra Headphones feature proprietary Bose active EQ to provide incredible, life-like sound, in conjunction with a personalized listening experience enabled by CustomTune technology. To enable this, the headphones must be powered on during use, including when using the auxiliary audio cable.

Ratings and Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Best Set of Headphones Pros: There's a lot, stay with me, I'll try and be brief. • They sound amazing, even in bluetooth (320k mp3s or flac). Rock and rap sound really good. Classical is a solid B. All my favorite bands (Jeff Buckley, Swans, Radiohead) sound amazing, I even heard some NEW sounds on the old classics (Pink Floyd). Bass response is very good, no distortion. Highs are loud and clear and not tinny or ear-piercing. They are plenty loud, I found no need to turn these up past 75%, even for the bangers. • Setup is easy, and the voice prompts are helpful and not annoying. The headphones are large enough for my giant head and ears, light and my ears don't hurt after a couple of hours. • The multiple bluetooth connections is fantastic and actually works. I was listening to music from my computer when the headphones announced that a call was incoming on my cell phone (and I thought "uh-oh, how am I going to manage this mess?"), the headphones actually paused the computer music, and let me answer the call over bluetooth and apparently a built-in mic. The caller also never complained that they couldn't hear me. When I hung up, the headphones switched back to the computer and un-paused the music automatically! I love it when technology works. • The carrying case is a nice shape (thinnish) and is hard enough that I can just chuck it into my laptop bag without worrying about damage. Cons: • Sparse instructions on how to get started, and the Bose app doesn't seem to work with these yet, both of those are easily rectified. • You have to "fold down" the headset all the way to the smallest size so it fits into the carrying case, but there are no "click-stops" to help you decide how much you've opened them. Which means you have to adjust the sizing every time you take them out and use them again, you're almost trial-and-error sizing every time you put them back on from the case. • Bose only supplied a short (1 meter) cable for a wired connection. A very tiny (2.5mm?) audio jack attaches to the headphones, the other end is the more popular small size (3.5mm?). It appears that I'd need an adapter either way for a longer cable if I wanted to hook these into my stereo system and listen to vinyl, but longer cables and less adapters is always nicer, no? Overall, easily the best headphones I've ever owned. They sound so good than the little inconveniences are essentially null. For the price, I would like nicer, longer cables and a power plug for charging. I will attempt to update this review when I get more data on battery life and analog listening.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ultra for sure! I received these as part of a Sneak Peek program and am so glad that I did! I have owned Bose noise cancelling headphones for as long as I can remember (several different versions) and wouldn't think of getting on an airplane without them (I travel a fair amount for work and pleasure). I wondered if these would really feel "ultra" / like an upgrade and they definitely do - immersive sound and comfortable (my key criteria!). The controls still take me a bit of getting used to, since they are different from my previous pair - but I'm sure I'll get the hang of them soon!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning Noise Cancelling Headphones! After using these headphones, I am truly stunned! The first feature I must point out about this product is how perfectly it fits around my head. The headphones are fully adjustable, making it easy to achieve just the right fit. I have also been quite impressed by how well the headphone ear cups seal my ears. This ensures that no sound is leaked and helps minimize the external sound entering into my ears. The next notable feature worth pointing out about these headphones is how amazingly comfortable the headband and ear cups are. I have owned many pairs headphones in the past that are just too uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time. This pair of headphones is by far the most comfortable pair I have ever put on my head. I can easily listen to music for hours without ever having to take the headphones off. The next notable feature worth discussion is how easy it is to connect the headphones to my phone. The headphones are completely Bluetooth, eliminating the hassle of getting tangled up with wires! Being these headphones are Bluetooth, I was slightly worried that the sound would be impacted, however, this is not an issue whatsoever. This leads me to the next noteworthy point about these headphones- the sound quality. The sound quality of these headphones is truly unparalleled to any pair of headphones I’ve ever listened to. The sound is crystal clear and perfectly balanced. I feel like it is often difficult to find a set of headphones that are perfectly balanced in their sound quality (not too much bass yet at the same time, not too much treble). Bose hit the perfect balance between the two with this product. Another important feature worth discussing about these headphones is the various listening modes available. My favorite listening mode by far is the “Immersive Mode”. When I have the Immersive Mode on, I feel like I am on stage with the artists that I’m listening to. I cannot hear any outside noise and am able to hear every single note in each song that I listen to. The other listening modes should not be ignored, however. I have found the “Aware Mode” to be quite helpful in allowing me to enjoy my music while still being able to hear things around me. This is especially helpful for commuting on trains and buses (where I need to be able to hear the next stop). It is worth noting, however, that this mode does not let in an excessive amount of external noise- just enough to hear what’s going on around you. The “Quiet Mode” enables me to filter out the noisy world while also enabling me to enjoy a more quiet audio experience. This is great for late night listening sessions! The next notable feature worth pointing out is how easy it is to communicate with these headphones. These headphones have multiple mics that enable your listener to hear your voice crystal clear. I have already attended numerous business meetings with these headphones on and have not had a single issue! Everyone on my calls has been able to hear me perfectly and vice versa. Another area I have been quite pleased with when it comes to using these headphones is the ability to easily control my music from the headphones themselves. I’m able to adjust the volume, accept calls, change the listening modes, and change songs all by touching the ear cups. An additional feature I’ve found to be quite fascinating is the ability to turn the headphones on/off using your head movements. This is a feature I’ve never seen offered in a headset before. Another essential area worth discussion is the battery life of these headphones. These headphones have the best battery life I have ever seen in a pair of headphones, which is truly surprising given that these headphones offer so many high-tech features (such as the different listening modes, active noise cancellation, Bluetooth connectivity, etc.). I have been able to use these headphones for an entire work day on a single charge without any problems. To me, this is quite a stunning advancement in the world of headphones. The design of these headphones must not be ignored either. These headphones are super stylish and luxurious. I have gotten numerous compliments at work about how nice these headphones look. It’s obvious that they contain luxurious, premium materials that give off a great impression! My only issue with these headphones is that the included carrying case is super difficult to fit the headphones into. The headphones have to be facing a specific direction in order for the case to correctly close. I turned them the wrong way and was able to tightly close the case, however, this was probably not the best idea as the headphones were quite smushed up! Despite this, I have still been quite impressed with these headphones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good update! Better than the 700s Bose delivers once again. Quality sound, sturdy product, and increased comfort. Comparing to the 700s these have a smaller footprint. Even the case is considerably smaller which I like for traveling. They feel sturdier because the overhead piece doesn’t taper down like the 700s. The immersive sound is fun although I’m not totally sure it’s the best feature. It’s not bad but I’m not spending $100s on immersive sound alone. Does have exceptional noise cancelling. If you like Bose and weren’t sold on the 700s these are a great purchase. Food update to the Quiet Comforts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Immerse in 3D audio!!! I'm ecstatic to own another pair of headphones from Bose's latest and greatest Bose Quiet Comfort Ultra Headphones. I love the continuation of the Quiet Comfort series as it is a name that is synonymous with comfort, lightweight, and the best noise-canceling headphones/earphones around. The build quality is fantastic, and it looks and feels expensive. It has a clean outline and a sophisticated look to it. The high-quality mattified metal arms retract within the headband. The headband and the ear cups have thick and soft cushions with soft leatherette material. Although the clamp on the ear is a bit tighter than the Bose QC 45s, this headphone is still very comfortable. I enjoy wearing it in the office at work on "Aware" mode, where I can enjoy the beautiful stereo sound in my ear and still hear all the background noise around me. When I go on my one-hour lunch break after a quick bite and a brisk walk, I take advantage of some relaxing jazz music afterward and enjoy the Immersive Audio on "Still" mode, which is mind-boggling and as close to 3D audio as you can get. It's like going to a club with the ginormous stereo on your ear and the sound goes from one ear to the next ear as you shake and twist your head from side to side. The most enjoyable feature I love on the headphones is the auto-pause feature. When you take off your headphones, your audio will automatically pause. And likewise, when you get it back on your head, it will continue to play where it left off. The battery life is long-lasting. I enjoy it on my commute home on public transportation, and it even has enough juice to enjoy with my TV at home after my daughter goes to sleep so I can enjoy my late-night crime show. I love the high-density crush-proof case with the molded ear cuff inside. The presentation and packaging are premium, and this bundle of joy makes me happy. Now my daughter wants one, too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Masterclass in Audio and Noise Cancellation These Bose's QC Ultra headphones redefine audio excellence and noise-canceling capabilities. Offering an immersive auditory experience, these headphones deliver exceptional sound quality with clear highs and deep bass, while their customizable noise-cancellation settings make them a top choice. The build quality is impressive, boasting comfort and durability, despite some minor plastic components. For those in search of premium audio and noise cancellation, the QC Ultra headphones stand as a prime choice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Immersive Talk about getting in the zone! If you’re a person who needs the right headphones and playlist to bring into focus mode for work or a good workout, these headphones are it. They’re comfortable and stay put when I’m working out. The different settings and noise cancellation make the music feel like it’s surrounding you, and you’re in a music video hyping yourself up and getting stuff done. I love the volume bar that makes adjusting the volume so much easier. I love the different mode settings you can preset for different situations (commute, workout, outdoor, etc) and account for even wind. And the battery charges quickly and lasts forever!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ultra comfort, ultra quiet- literally! The design and features of the QuietComfort Ultra headphones are an improvement from the previous models. These headphones are modern, sleek, and aesthetically pleasing. The headphones are lightweight and portable, so it's comfortable to wear for long periods of time. As a graduate student, I rely on the noise cancellation feature of my headphones so I can study in any environment. I mainly use the Quiet mode when I am in loud environments like a coffee shop, but I am able to navigate to the other two modes with ease when needed. I especially enjoy the immersive audio mode when I am listening to music or watching videos/movies on my phone or laptop. It truly has a long lasting battery life compared to the QC 35 or 45. With the Bose Music app, pairing the headphones with devices and making adjustments is easy. The call quality is quite clear with no voice distortions. The only thing I had to get used to was swiping along the volume strip to control the volume as there is no physical button like the previous models. Based on the design, sound quality, functionality, and features of the Ultra headphones, I would highly recommend this pair of Bose headphones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Headphones on the market The Bose QuietComfort Ultra Wireless Headphones are a game-changer in the world of noise-canceling headphones. I've had the pleasure of using them for a while now, and I must say, they deliver an exceptional audio experience. First and foremost, the noise cancellation on these headphones is nothing short of incredible. They effortlessly drown out background noise, allowing you to immerse yourself fully in your music or podcasts. Whether you're on a noisy commute, working in a bustling coffee shop, or just need some peace and quiet at home, these headphones will do the trick. Sound quality is where Bose truly shines. The audio is crisp, clear, and well-balanced across the entire spectrum. The bass is punchy without being overpowering, and the mids and highs are rich and detailed. Whether you're listening to classical music, hip-hop, or podcasts, these headphones deliver a fantastic audio experience. Comfort is another area where the QuietComfort Ultra excels. They are incredibly lightweight and come with plush ear cushions, making them comfortable to wear for extended periods. The headband is adjustable and feels secure without being too tight. They're perfect for long flights or marathon work sessions. Battery life is also impressive. With up to 20 hours of playback time on a single charge, you can enjoy your music all day without worrying about running out of power. The touch-sensitive controls on the earcups are intuitive and easy to use. You can adjust volume, skip tracks, and even answer calls with a few simple taps. These are worth every penny if you value top-notch noise cancellation, audio quality, and comfort. The Bose QuietComfort Ultra Wireless Headphones are a premium choice for audiophiles and frequent travelers alike, and they have certainly earned a spot at the top of my list of favorite headphones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable✔ Bass✔ Perfect Noise Cancelation✔ Um.. WOW! I can't begin to explain how comfortable these are yet they're perfectly blocking out all the outside sound. Yet, they have an environment aware mode so you can hear those around you. Yet, there's a mode that combines both together so you can hear outside noises but only if it's extra loud and needs your attention. All while having amazing sound quality. Whilst being light and breathable. Bose QuietComfort DOES IT AGAIN. Kudos Bose, I am impressed. Coming from someone who has used your 2 other main competition headphones as well. The hard and protective, yet thin carrying case opens to reveal the neatly folded up and tiny looking headphones. The pouches on the front side of the case holding a 3.5mm to 2.5mm aux cable that can optionally plug into compatible devices, as well as a USB-C charging cable. You unfold the headphones and pull them onto your head, the headband intelligently stretching out to make a perfect fit over-the-ears. Wait, what's that now? They automatically turned on because it's been less than 24 hours since you last wore them? no way. Wait, what.. they connected automatically too and now you can't the vacuum cleaner that was on just a second ago? (I literally just experienced this that's why I'm including it in the review LOL) - the sound is GONE. I hear it miles away. Wow. Now my music begins, a simple tap of one of the buttons on the right ear cup begins where I left off. I could of course choose to whip out my phone and start a custom playlist on my favorite app. Even the Bose app itself will sync to what I'm listening to. The Immersion modes really kick up the music up a notch. Now it doesn't feel like I'm wearing headphones and listening to music at my desk - no, now it feels like I'm IN the dance club scene during which this song was played at in the movie (If you get my meaning). They're just so immersive and not clamping a storm on my head compared to the other competition that this is Beating while I enjoy some music and throw away my half eaten Apple. Get it?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sound and comfort! I have been using these headphones for the past two weeks, mostly for conference calls, and am very happy with the quality of sound and wear comfort: - The battery life is also very good, only needs charging once a week or so for an average of 4 hours daily use. - Bluetooth connection is quick and intuitive. - Immersive audio is a really nice feature to get lost in music. I am also using Bose Quiet Comfort 45, and really enjoy the slide functionality for On/Off switch and size adjustment - to me, they are more practical and quick to use. Those are the only two things I would change in Ultra headphones to make them not just Excellent, but the Absolute Best!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Upgrade You Deserve As an engineer, I'm thoroughly impressed by the Bose Ultra Headphones. Their sleek, premium design and advanced technology make them a significant upgrade from previous Bose headphones. The headphones' aesthetic appeal is matched by their performance, justifying the price tag. Having owned both the QC 35 and 45 models, I can attest to the exponential growth in capabilities that the Ultras represent. The noise cancellation feature is a masterstroke, creating an immersive, soundproof experience that outshines any predecessor. This feature works exceptionally well in noisy offices and windy outdoor conditions, providing a focused work environment and maintaining superior performance. The sound quality is exceptional, with a perfect balance between heavy bass, midrange, and treble, delivering a rich, immersive soundstage that is a significant step up from earlier models. The Ultras truly showcase the evolution and innovation of Bose's headphone technology, making them a worthy investment. The Bose Ultra Headphones, with their superior performance and comfort, have now become my go-to daily audio gear. Their exceptional sound quality and noise cancellation features make them a perfect companion for both my professional and personal life, offering an unmatched auditory experience. Be it attending a conference call, immersing myself in music, or catching up on my favorite podcasts, these headphones consistently deliver top-notch performance. One aspect I've particularly come to enjoy is the intense vibrations they are capable of, adding a whole new dimension to my listening experience. They have indeed revolutionized my daily interaction with sound.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bose Quiet Comfort Ultra's are Incredible! Incredible Sound, Incredible Comfort, and Incredible Features/Technology. These headphones are everything you would expect from Bose and much more. There is so much to say about these headphones, but I don’t want to make my review so long that you don’t read it. (Smile) I will try to give you what I think are the most important reasons to make you consider buying them if you are in the market for headphones. I measure 3 most important things when it comes to deciding whether headphones meet my standards and are worth the money it cost to buy them. Those three things are: Sound quality, how comfortable they are to wear for long periods of time, and how useful the features/technology are/is in terms of making my usage experience better. Great technology that doesn’t make the headphones sound better and easier to use is almost pointless in my opinion. I work from home and work 12 to 14 hours a day, I sell Engineering Software, meaning I am on Microsoft Teams/Zoom video calls/Meetings, and traditional phone calls all day with Engineers and their Managers. When I am not talking, I like to listen to music as I work, mostly Jazz. I live for great music, and consider myself a bit of a music aficionado, and or audiophile if you will. So quality reproduction of the music as the artist intended for us to hear it is very important to me. I have had these headphones on my head each day for at least 16 to 17 hours when I combine my usage for work with my personal usage after work, and I can honestly say that the fit is the most comfortable pair of headphones I have ever worn. The cushioning is light while around your ears, yet durable feeling at the same time. The battery life lives up to the claims and beyond, which is a very good quality, you can really get your daily long hours use out of them. The fact that the headphones can be connected simultaneously to two devices using the Bose Music App is a great feature for me because I can be listening to music from my phone or through Alexa and also be connected to my work laptop and have the ability to switch between them seamlessly, the technology built into the headphones automatically stops the music and answers a phone call or video call on my laptop, then resumes the music when I end the call. Additionally, any number of other Bluetooth Devices can be quickly connected with a toggle within the Bose Music App as well, creating quick and easy connections to all of your devices. The noise cancellation is second to none. Nothing going on around me can be heard by people on the other end of the call, moreover, also making the sound that you hear flawless without the intrusion of outside noise. The buttons have a very good tactile feel and are simple and easy to use, not overly complicated to access the many functions. A simple one, two or three click to maneuver through songs and/ or pause while listening to music, or a quick click to answer or end a call. It also has a small slightly recessed area to slide your finger either up or down to adjust the volume. Honestly, these are good improvements over the touch/feel of maneuvering through things with the other headphones and earbuds. The most important feature of the headphones is how GREAT the music sounds. I own the Bose Noise Cancelling 700 Headphones, Quiet Comfort Earbuds, and QC Earbuds II, so my bar for sound quality is pretty high. These New Quiet Comfort Ultra Headphones take the sound quality of the music to the next level with the addition of Immersive Audio this feature makes you feel that the music is all around you with depth, it is the closest reproduction to Live music being played right in front of you or all around you I have ever experienced. The one and only thing that I dislike about this feature is that the Bass doesn’t seem to have the exact same punch as when this feature is off. I am truly splitting hairs here trying to find something to dislike about this feature when compared to the regular sound. I hope I have given you some important Pros as to make for compelling reasons to consider purchasing these headphones. Quite honestly, I had to search for things to dislike about these headphones and didn’t want to create some small things just to have some dislikes/Cons to make my review “seem” more balanced. I have a very high bar when it comes to justifying spending money on headphones, and these Quiet Comfort Ultra Headphones pass with flying colors! I will continue to use these for hours and hours a day and be sure to add to my review in order to be as helpful as possible to those that may be considering purchasing these headphones. As of now, I would highly recommend purchasing these headphones. These are the S-Class of Bose Headphones, for sure!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bose never disappoints. Awesome new features! I’ve been using the Bose Quiet Comfort Ultra Headphones for two weeks now, and I’m impressed with the new features. The Bose Immersive Audio technology is impressive, and I love the motion feature that follows my head movements. The active noise cancellation is top-notch, and it works like magic during my train commute. The battery life is phenomenal, and I can wear the headphones all day without feeling any fatigue thanks to the superb cushion. The only downside is that it’s a little pricey, but I think it’s worth the money given the awesome ANC and great Immersive Technology.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best headphones yet! This is my first pair of new Bose headphones since I purchased my Bose noise cancelling headphones roughly 6 years ago. The difference in the audio experience and the noise cancelling features is hands down the best yet! The fit and feel of the headphones are very comfortable, lightweight, and fit the contour of my head very nicely. Aesthetically, the headphones look top-notch and very well put together. Battery life is more than I would ever need in any given go, but I have yet to run into any performance or charging issues. Pairing the headphones with the Bose app was seamless, and the product demonstration/tutorial was fantastic. I fly a lot for work and for anyone wanting to tune out the white noise of air travel and have a truly immersive audio experience, look no further than the Bose QuietComfort Ultra.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beyond our time!!! Sounds Voicebox Like most people, certain events call for certain genres of music. I love R&B-Soul when I’m a date night but I’ll take the Classic Rock/Rap music when I’m tossing the weights around in the gym. The clarity and feedback that I receive in sound from these headphones are astoundingly good. I literally feel like I’m in my own world once I put these on and go into immersion mode. The music is trapped within my ears and with still/motion mode, I can dictate whether the sound travel to the pace of my movements. Going from Aware mode to Quiet mode is like turning any and all distractions off. Not a peep, even from the loud train that zooms by my apartment complex on the daily. The sleekness, aluminum design, comfort, is all a bonus to the Ultra’s performance. I love the bold black and white creamed colors and I only expect Bose to release more colors in the near future. Aesthetics give it a nice blend of both the Quiet Comfort and Bose 700 headphones. I am extremely impressed with the stability and comfort as I go through high intensity, functional based exercises. For any athlete looking to perform their absolute best without worrying of their headphones falling off or the ear cusps moving around, I guarantee that problem is officially solved. I can take a sledgehammer to a tire, jump on 50 in vertical boxes, do high intensity agility runs, all without disrupting any bit of sound. Overall, if perfection had an image in the dictionary, i am almost sure these would be the main image!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Headphones I’ve Ever Owned The Bose QuietComfort Headphones are the REAL DEAL. These things check all the boxes, from comfort to sound to ANC. The battery life has been exceptional, with play far outlasting any long sessions I’ve had with them on. The immersive audio is an intuitive, interesting feature (just make sure you check the app to ensure the IA is in the correct parameters for your current activity). The only shortcoming I’ve found with these stellar headphones is that I believe that the drivers could be a little larger to get a slightly deeper, bassist range down low. That is literally the only shortfall. My wife also wanted me to add, for all you out there that face the same issue, that the ANC does WONDERS for canceling out my snoring.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An exceptional audio experience I used the quiet comfort ultra headphones during a wide variety of activities. From walking through a downtown environment, to vacuuming the house. In one word, the experience was sensational. A couple attributes jump out at you. The first was the sturdy construction of the headphones followed by the softness of the ear-cups. Obviously the main reason you buy headphone is for the sound experience, and Bose delivered. They have the signature Bose profile that is a great balance of treble and bass. The My Bose app is great for selecting different listening modes (more on that below), or changing the EQ levels to your own personal sweet spot. I never thought I could wear headphones that made me feel like there was a subwoofer in the room. You can actually feel the Bass in your chest, especially if you turn up the bass EQ level in the app. I’m on the phone often for work. The QC Ultra’s have fantastic clarity with both the sound of the other person, and the microphone picking up your words (confirmed by a few people during calls).  Unique features: they have two fascinating listening modes. They call them immersive audio modes labeled “Still” or “Motion”. “Still”: this mode is perfect for working from home or sitting in the same spot for a while. It makes the sound location appear to come from the same spot even if you turn your head. “Motion”: this mode is fantastic for working out when you’re moving around, taking a walk, or simply doing chores around the house. Instead of the sound appearing to come from a stereo in front of you(classic headphone profile), this mode envelops the sound around you, making the sound come alive. This is by far my favorite way to experience audio. Their noise cancelling is top tier and here is why: I commute downtown to work in a large city. I take the subway, followed by a 15 minute walk. For those of you that ride the subway, you know how obnoxiously loud it can be. The QC Ultras made light work of the subway, even when a song wasn’t playing. During my walk to the down office, I passed some sidewalk construction where they were jackhammering the sidewalk cement. I purposefully walked right next to the fence barrier, not 10 feet from the excavators hammer. I could faintly hear the hammer chomping away through the music, but when I took off my headphones, I realized how well the noise cancelling works. I was stunned how much background noise these headphones can drown out.  If you’re still reading this review, you can stop and just click the purchase button, because you simply can’t get a better listening experience than what Bose have to offer with the QC Ultra headphones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent, with a caveat I have been using these solidly for almost two weeks now, and I find them replacing every pair of headphones I use. I work in a large production warehouse that gets incredibly loud with all the machinery, and the noise cancelation is strong enough to make all of it faint. My PTSD makes going into loud public places almost impossible, so I rely on noise cancelation. Places like the grocery store are completely silent. Now my caveat. The Immersive Audio feels like a beta. It works wonderfully with certain songs, falls short with a lot of others, and is practically useless with things like podcasts and audiobooks. Thankfully you can use these without ever turning it on. There is a lot of potential and I suspect it will get much better with some tweaking in the future. Without the Immersive Audio, these are by far the best headphones I have ever used and will continue to do so. All the materials used give them a solid, premium, and comfortable feel. The sound is clear and the battery life is insane. I highly recommend these to anyone looking to upgrade. They are everything Bose does best. Just not for the Immersive Audio experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Sound Quality, Can Wear for Hours These are by far my favorite headphones from Bose. The depth of the sound is astonishing. The noise canceling is better than on my 1st generation QC Buds and my 700s. They aren't too heavy, I've used them while studying for 6 hours with no issues. They paired with my Nintendo Switch and provided a great immersive experience while playing. One thing I wish were different, I would prefer having a separate Bluetooth and power button. It was a little counterintuitive holding the power button through the off tone to enter pairing mode, but definitely not a deal breaker. Bottom line, these are amazing headphones with the quality and innovations I've come to expect from Bose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Premium Headphones w/ Top Tier Noise Cancellation I love these headphones! I have been using them everyday at work, home and the gym. When I turned them on the first time, I was heating up my lunch during my lunch break at work and the sound of the Microwave completely disappeared. I never had noise canceling headphones that cancel out noise that completely! I also like the modes that they have through the Bose Music app. I use Quiet mode during my lunch breaks or while crafting (I have been working on my family's Halloween costumes). I call it my focus mode, it allows me to focus on the task at hand, even if that task is relaxing on my lunch break. The immersive audio is like being in the room with the musicians, I have been enjoying rediscovering some of my favorite music through these while crafting or while at the gym. When using the immersive audio with my favorite movies these headphones make me feel surrounded by the action on screen, better than traditional surround sound, all while not bothering my Partner or children. They also have AMAZING battery life, I have been using them constantly and have only had to charge them once in that time! The only issue I had was, while doing bench press at the gym, they slipped off of my head, they were on the smallest setting. I fixed the issue by putting my hair in a high pony and that acted as a stopper for the headphones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unbeatable Sound Quality with Bose QuietComfort I have been a very satisfied owner of many Bose products for over 20 years. I even have an older pair of Bose Headphones that I love and still use regularly. When I was given the opportunity to test the new Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones I jumped at the opportunity. The New Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones are really sleek looking right in the box. They are a little heavier than my older Bose headphones but not so heavy that they weigh on you. The headphones adjust to your head, they glide smoothly. The padding on the ears is very comfortable and not overwhelming. The padding that sits on the top of your head is soft and does not feel heavy or bulky. The setup of the headphones was simple. Downloaded the Bose App on my phone and the headphones connect easily. The first song I played on the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones was a rock song from the early 80's. It sounded amazing. I loved how the sound seemed to resonate in my head. One of the best features is how the music seems to follow you around when you move. Like you were actually seeing the band live in concert. The Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones are very good at canceling the outside noise while in use. Honestly, I would recommend these headphones to anyone who is looking to purchase new headphones. The Bose Quality, comfort, style, and sound of the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones are worth the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heightened entertainment Wow, I was very emoressed with the packing when I first open the box. Everything was laid out perfectly with a place for everything. I am a big fan of Bose products and own a least 6, so the opportunity to try their newest lauch was a no brainer. I'm an a technical person and utilize noise canceling headphones for audio books, movies and canceling noice while on planes and trains. They are very effective for crying babies on planes. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to try them out with thr crying baby on a plane, yet, but I will explain out it word with movies and audio books. I have 2 bull dogs who like to snore in stereo which can interfere with me enjoying movies and television shows. I thought this would be an excellent way to assess the noise canceling capabilities. I found the noise canceling to be superior. I couldn't hear anything in room. What I did notice were sounds that were not obvious without tge headphones, ie distant cars passing, birds chirping, etc. I found that the ability to hear the additional sounds added to the movie watching experience. Next, I added the Immersive feature and the sounds were all around me. I felt like I was part of the movie, which really elevated my movie watching experience. The design of the headphones are great. They are light weight and comfortable. The weight gives an impression of being fragile and not sturdy. That would be my only complaint with the design. If your looking for headphones that have excellent noise canceling capabilities, a light comfortable design, and features that enhance your entertainment experience these are an excellent option.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality sound, some minor inconveniences I have had this set of headphones for 2 weeks now. I have owned two previous Bose QCs, and Bose wired noise canceling (NC) earbuds so have good comparative experience with Bose products. Out of the box these headphones have the premium quality expected from Bose. The travel case supplied is on the large side, very protective but the phones fold flat within it, so still highly portable. The set up is through the app, therefore it is important to know you have access to the app with an appropriate device before buying. The headphones wear very nicely with very soft ear cushioning. I have only worn them for 1-2 hours at a stretch so far but they have proved comfortable for those periods. They are somewhat heavy and I feel some pressure downwards on my ears. As said up to 2 hours listening does not cause a problem for me, but this may be different after longer periods of wear. Charging and set up was very easy, with the 'phones immediately pairing to both my iphone and ipad. Switching listening between the two devices is seamless, however the two control buttons on the headset are easy to mix up in operation. The touch slide volume works very well and is intuitive. Moving onto sound there are three NC modes, regular, transparent and immersive. The regular NC mode is excellent, and as evidenced by the marked difference heard when switching to transparent mode. In contrast, immersive mode did not seem to be very different to regular NC, but I have just been listening to music thus far. Perhaps watching a movie may better bring out the qualities of this mode. Music audio quality is high with very clear reproduction and an overall clean, bright sound. The app allows control of bass and treble to further refine the sound quality to one's individual preference. For an NC headset the sound quality overall is excellent. To me the real test to come will be when I take these on a long haul flight next month, and I'll update the review after if I can. So far I am very pleased, and the sound quality easily overcomes the minor imperfections.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top Tier Premium Headphones! Just a little background about me first. I'm a consumer who enjoys a clean and balanced sound stage (no over exaggerated lows mids or highs) when using over ear headphones or in ear buds for the purpose of enjoying different genre's of music. I listen to music often at home, while traveling, and when I'm at work. I'm not specifically an audiophile but one can enjoy a great sounding headphone with amazing features! The new Bose QC Ultra's is now my new favorite headphones. Let me explain why... Upon unboxing you're immediately drawn to the exceptional quality of the case that houses the QC Ultra's. The white smoke color in this headphone looks stunning and premium in appearance. They feel light and comfortable upon trying them on. The leather on the headband and over ear cups are thick and feel plush and can be worn for hours without feeling fatigued. I work in a laboratory setting and I've worn them for 4 to 5 hours at a time and never felt the headband pinching around my ears as well as never feeling sweaty with them on for hours. Now for the sound stage and features... So with every sense of the word phenomenal... I really think Bose hit the nail dead on with the QC Ultra's in my opinion. Once connected via wireless Bluetooth I started listening to various genre’s of music that I enjoy listening to from Rock (Foo Fighters) , Rap (Dre, Snoop, Eminem), Reggae (Bob Marley), R&B, Jazz, Metal (Metallica), and hits from the 80’s to the present day. The initial sound out of the box seems neutral and clean with a precise and pronounced separation. There is an option to adjust a basic EQ setting within the Bose app to your sound preference if you prefer a bump or distinction to your lows, mids or highs. The noise cancellation in the QC Ultra headphones are in the elite/god tier noise cancelling category as they are superior to my Sony XM's, Beats, or Apple air pod pro 2nd gen. They just seem to block out external sound the best in comparison to the other headphones I own when I want to drown out the environment around me! There was two additional features that truly surprised me... First , the immersive audio is amazing to hear and experience with every genre of music I listened. It made me hear my music in a way that resembled a concert or live experience bringing the music to life. It’s the only way I prefer to listen to music when using the QC Ultra’s. 2nd, the transparency mode or what Bose calls awareness mode is very good and is on even ground with the AirPod Pro which for several years had the best transparency feature. The awareness mode in the QC Ultra’s sound balanced and natural while listening to the external environment around me or carrying a conversation while using them. Just a couple of minor cons for me… Since I prefer to use them with immersive audio in use, this feature does drain the battery a bit faster as I’m able to use them on and off at home and work for a couple of days before needing to top of with a recharge. Bose claims approx 18 hrs which is respectable and that is roughly about the same amount of hours I was able to obtain before needing a recharge. It would have been amazing to get another 8 to 10 hrs of battery life while using immersive audio. Also, there are times I’m unable to physically answer a call or play and pause a track since it requires to physically press a button within the headphones. I work in a laboratory while wearing a lab coat, face shield and gloves and my only option is to remove one glove to use the headphones if I’m interrupted while working. It would be a game changer if Bose added a basic gesture or voice recognition feature to pause/play music or answer/end a call hands free as a future feature. Overall impression… The QC Ultra’s are very impressive in every aspect with premium sound and top tier level features! They feel comfortable and look sleek with a high end quality build. Bose has a winner with the release of the QC Ultra’s and I’ll be happily using and endorsing them to family and friends who are looking for a premium headphone! You cannot go wrong with these…. Breathtaking immersive audio sound with top tier noise cancelling and transparency/awareness features! My collection of headphones have grown and these will be the ones I’ll be reaching for the most! Great job Bose!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OUT OF THIS WORLD I got the headphones about a week ago...the audio quality is so superior, hard to compare with any other headphones, even older models. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another Homerun! Bose has done it again! The design and look of the Quiet Comfort Ultra Headphones are perhaps the most aesthetically pleasing of any of the long line of Bose over the ear products. The fit is comfortable and the headphones are so light that it does not feel like you have them on. You have to spend some time with these headphones to find the sound that works for you. The immersive audio adds a dynamic that makes the headphones practical for every day use and provides a level of noise cancelling never seen before from Bose headphones. However it does take some trial and error to find what sound works for you and the environment that you are listening in. Battery life is outstanding and a massive surprise compared to some other Bose products like the Bose Sport Open Buds. The Bose Music app allows you to control the functionality and make adjustments on the fly. Overall these are next generation headphones that fit the narrative of everyday life in 2023 while providing the comfort and high quality that you expect from Bose. Do spend some time with these headphones to get to know them and to get exactly what you want!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ultra is an understatement! I received the qc ultra headphones a week ago and I've been elated with how incredible these things have been. For starters, I'm a factory employee that works 10 hours a day and I good pair of headphones is a must for me. The factory is quite noisy and the noise cancelation on these headphones exceeds any other headphones I've tried. The sound quality is not disrupted even at a content 110 decibels of sound In the factory. I can use them for 2 entire shifts without needing to charge them once. They were incredibly easy to set up and feel intuitive to use, while the comfort is top notch. I wear them for 10 hours at a time with no issue. The immersive audio is out of this world, and makes you feel as though you are sitting at a concert listening to the band play. I've been a bose customer for years and it's because they keep coming out with the best quality stuff and these headphones definitely fit that bill!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Transformative Experience I love sound and technological innovations small and large because greatness isn’t in just one thing… it’s in everything even the ordinary. And I am truly honored to have this opportunity to review such a breakthrough product on so many levels. A true game changer. Phenomenal Sound Quality True immersion personified and I love being able to toggle between all three settings from immersion to quiet to awake and I love how when you take the QC ULTRAS off of your head they pause where you left off and start back playing where they were when you took them off when you place them back on your ears. Love how you can push the headset on and off so easily. This is hands down the most comfortable and sleekest headset I’ve ever owned and the performance I’ve ever owned and the performance and technological advances are out of this world combined with a simplistic yet sophisticated user friendly usability. If you want a head turning headset with stellar performance and daily use greatness than look no further than the QC ULTRAS. Cormfort is pillow soft to your ears to the point you don’t want to take them off in a good way. Ears aren’t encumbered in anyway. QC ULTRAS are a complete game changer and a must have for sound aficionados. QC ULTRAS gives you a front row seat why evolution is necessary in all facets of life if you are in the pursuit of true undeniable greatness… this headset is in my opinion epitomizes Bose’s exemplary sound quality and is their crowning achievement to date. Wore the QC ULTRAS for like two hours straight and felt like I never had anything on my ears at all even though I know for certain I did and since then I’ve worn them multiple times for even longer and feel like I could wear them 10 hours straight easy with little to no ear fatigue along with the lightness of the headset itself. Did a light workout with the QC ULTRAS and the performance was stellar and I felt zoned in on my workout in a real way but where the QC ULTRAS truly excel is in leisure and wearing walking around all day or laying down all day. The aware setting is out of this world game changing. I can hear the wind blowing, my portable electric air pump pumping my tire and I just had a full conversation in Walmart at Customer Service about electric cars and gasoline cars… the funny thing about it is the attendant was initially like you can’t even hear us can you sit and I was like these the new Bose QC ULTRAS so I can hear everything y’all saying… and to be able to say that out loud is a game changer in and of itself and was just unreal because I really could hear everything they were saying. It’s even clearer for me now after my third ownership of a Bose product why Bose is the best in the sound game in my opinion. I was able to talk to two people at once and fully engage with them in their conversation and add to it all while getting my customer service needs meet and all while still listening to music… Now that’s dope and something that a person like myself who highly values portability and versatility doesn’t take for granted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome. The headphones are awesome. They feel and look premium but are also lightweight. The addition of “Immersive Audio” is what makes these headphones stand out from its predecessors. I definitely keep Immersive audio on to “Still”. The noise cancellation sounds great and sounds like it got improved too. The microphone also got improvements, the mics pick up audio better than the older headphones so just in case whenever I have to pick up a call I know the other person won’t have trouble hearing me. The battery life is improved . Since these I are my daily headphones, I don’t always find myself running out of battery throughout the day. The thing that also feels like that helps out with battery life is new feature that was added. When taking off the headphones while listening to music or watching a video, it’ll pause whatever is playing and resumes once the headphones sense you have them back on. If you happen to use your Bose QC as a wired headset for your ps4 or ps5 using the QC25 Android cable, audio works but the mic doesn’t. I tried it multiple times but no luck. Overall these headphones are a big step up if you have an older pair such as the QC35 or the QC45.
