Rated 1 out of 5 by from Still don't get the hype of owning Bose Speakers I have owned this set for several years, but I have never noticed any real difference between the expensive Bose, and the cheap set that came with the Dell Tower. I thought maybe I needed to download a driver, as it is set up as a Realtek speaker, but the website is not very intuitive and waiting over 30 minutes to chat with a tech just continued my disappointment with the product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sound Good but Broken After a Year I bought these about a year ago. They sounded great with plenty of volume until 2 months ago when the volume started changing on its own. The volume randomly changes without me touching the dial, the problem has gotten progressively worse and now the volume will change to random levels every 10-20 seconds. They are now completely unusable with volume moving from too low to hear to too high to bear. I looked this up online and it seems to be a common problem with these particular speakers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Inadequate warranty and speaker failure So disappointing that these speakers suddenly STOPPED working after the warranty period expired!! I plugged in my old logitech speakers that are more than 10 years old and they still work!! Is anybody in service reading this?? Could these speakers burn out if not turned off? AND if so, why is there NO light to indicate if they are on??

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Very low longevity on the Companion 2 Series 2 I installed these several years ago on my wife and I's "office" desktop as such these speakers spent maybe 99% of the time with the knob in the OFF position and never had them turned past half volume. A few days ago I turned them ON no sound!Tried them on another computer still no sound! Checked the transformer . . . still putting out 12.04VDC . . . ?I remember thinking they sounded great initially, but for the amount of use they got before becoming paperweights NO SPEAKERS AT ANY PRICE are worth purchasing a second time.

Can you give me any information as to why this is happening? I was using them with 7 ultma computer system. Thank you, JIM

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing Quality I bought some Bose Companion 2 Series II speakers a few years ago, waiting for the current speakers I had on the desktop to go bad as they were beginning to give me some trouble. I used the Bose speaker 3 times when I had to use my laptop. Well the current desktop speakers ate it and when I pulled out the Bose Companion 2 Series II speakers to use, the left speak no longer works. Very disappointing for the money I spent and the number of times I used it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappoint I bought these for my home computer expecting Bose quality sound and did not get it. Sounded terrible in many ways. For the same price I got a system from Altec Lansing with a pre-amped sub woofer. Worlds apart in value for my money.

No hints for where to find a driver if that is what is missing - no replies that apply when a search for how to install. They are easy to plug in but not easy to get any sound.
