Ratings and Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible Sound Stage Bose magic strikes again. Every note clear and pronounced. You will not only be convinced that the sound is coming from the open space(or objects) in between the two speakers, but that it's moving in between the two towers. It's seriously remarkable, and it's the level of better that one never expects from products, but it's the level of excellence that I've come to expect from Bose. For $108(after tax), you will not find a better pair of speakers. They have integrated their marvelous digital sound processing, perfect bass porting, and the type of overall sound that would have made Dr. Bose proud(and you smile). Anyone would be remiss to pass these up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So much better... I ordered these four days ago and they have arrived already. A breeze to set up to my laptop and do they sound great! I couldn't ask for better and one can't beat the price. I'm totally satisfied. Bose, as usual, has delivered a wonderful product. Thanks Bose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New to Bose I bought these to replace my stock Dell speakers that my Cats ate. Wow what a difference, I bought these through Dell, as an upgrade; wish i had done it earlier. I fired up Spotify and loaded my playlist...I was amazed at the difference the speakers made. I always wanted BOSE, just never could afford it, well now I will be saving for a BOSE radio. I don't know mids, highs and such, I just know i like the sound. Thanks BOSE for a fine product.(Buying another set for my other PC)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much better than their price implies Having both the Bose QC15 sound isolating headphones and the Soundlink III Bluetooth speakers, I was astounded by the sound quality provided by these two products. I am also aware that at approximately $300.00 each that quality comes at a price. At $99.95 the Companion 2 speakers are the least expensive product made by Bose (outside of accessories). Trying a sub $100.00 set of speakers from Bose is kind of like trying a $20.00 set of speakers from Sony. While Sony does have some great products, they have definitely "cheapened" their branding by putting their name on substandard cheap product. At one time, buying "Sony" meant something. Not so much anymore, it's more of a roll of the dice.I thought Bose was making the same mistake and was not expecting much from these speakers but was hoping for the best. I am happy to report that these are not just a cheap set of speakers with a recognizable "brand" glued to the front. These speakers have amazing full rich sound coming from such a small package. The bass is full but not overwhelming and is amazingly robust considering the lack of a subwoofer. The mids and trebles are nice without sounding "tinny". They've also managed to manufacture the speakers cases from a plastic body without having that "plastic sound".For those reviewers who unfavorably compare these to 2.1 systems, it's an unfair comparison. But even without a subwoofer, they blow away many of the Altec Lansing 2.1 systems I have had in the past.In fact, these are the finest computer speakers I have ever owned. And considering they are less than $100.00 is even more amazing. I have no problem recommending these speakers to anyone who wants to to upgrade their computer speakers, or even to provide a reasonable amplified speaker set for their mobile device. Their entry level price allows new consumers a glimpse of the Bose 'sound' without the sticker shock. And while Bose offers even more expensive computer speakers, I can't imagine they provide you the bang for your buck that these little powerhouses provide.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing! I love these speakers. I have one at my job, one at home and I have gifted two. They are amazing! They are so clear and just plain awesome. I look forward to just turning them up and listening to beautiful music. Definitely awesome. I experienced the other more expensive Bose ones at Best Buy and they were even more amazing but for everyday listening, these are perfect. I am listening as I write. Buy them! They are great! And gift one too!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good, but one question Like any other customer, these Bose Companion 2's are amazing. Best and only speakers I've had so far! One question though. I play Minecraft, and I'm about to start my channel. For my microphone, I'm using Turtle Beach Xp 7. I plugged it in and the headset works, but the sound isn't coming out of the speakers. Is there a way that I can set my computer (Qosmio) to where the sound can come out of the speakers and headset? Or do I need some sort of 3rd program of device for that? If you have an answer, thanks for responding. If it works, thanks a LOT.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent engineering These speakers are able to fill my basic (225 sqf) living room with a full-range of musical notes. The set is also extremely efficient in doing so, running off a tiny 12V 0,8A switching power supply. These are no doubt the best desktop speakers available in their price range, bettering most 2.1 sets from other manufacturers. The bass is powerful and being only a few dB down at 55 Hz, there is no need for a separate subwoofer to enjoy music listening. Sound is spacious and the stereo image is stable even if your listening position is slightly off-axis or not equally spaced from both left and right speakers. In fact, these Bose Companion 2's are better than my previous 300 $ passive bookshelf speakers which sported 5.25" woofers. Bose are ahead of their competition in a way that would be inconceivable in other industries.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a Pair of speakers! I love listening to music, it is something that many love and it's very difficult to find speakers (more less for computers) that give you rich, clear, crisp sound. When I first plug my Macbook to them and I selected a random song I was literary blown away. I love Electronic dance music, the bass that comes out of them is INSANE. I use it for study music also and put some classic jazz and the rich and beautiful sound that came out of them had me blown away. I have never tried-herd a more rich and perfect sound coming out of a pair of computer speakers EVER! Highly recommended and great from under $100.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Control Panel These speakers are a great compliment to my setup. To enhance your range of frequency and "Bass" go to your control panel setting on your PC and tweak the EQ properties. It makes a significant difference. I love them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MY FAVORITE SPEAKERS I still have the version they sold back in 2004 and they are still pumping out the tunes! I love them! When I am done using the computer, I take the Bose Computer speakers and hook them up to my TV for an amazing HD sound experience. I (like any human) get tired so then i hook it up to my mp3 player for some calm music to lull me to sleep at night. GREAT PRODUCT BOSE!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Quality I don't hear as well as I age but this was without a doubt, the smartest purchase for my pc I ever made! These dynamic speakers sound as good as my wave radio or 301's. Full rich and clear sound at all pitches. Thanks Bose!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 5 Stars for What They Are (Computer Speakers) I bought these speakers for my office. They provide a professional look and great sound. The sound is clear and crisp and provides good highs and lows for the size of the speaker. Let's get one thing straight, these are computer speakers. For me, they're used to play music in the background or watch a quick video. They're not what I use for real music listening. If that was the case I wouldn't give a 5 (I'd maybe give 3.5-4). But for what they are, they're great. I'm never disappointed with Bose products. And knowing the excellent service they're customer service department provides, it's a no-brainer to purchase these speakers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these little speakers. I've owned several computer stereo speaker systems in the $40-80 range (Including systems with subs, which I detest due to an unnecessarily complex signal path) and was very pleased to experience the audio quality put out by these units at only marginally more money. The bass response in these speakers is excellent - far better than the passive radiator or "ported mazes" other manufacturers use to boost low frequencies. Even at low volumes, the bass is clear. Nice job, Bose!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good speakers I wanted to have only 2 speakers because of less space and hence bought them. The sound is good enough and it certainly satisfies me. It is just the perfect set of speakers which I was searching for. Thanks BOSE

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better performance, even better experience I was the proud owner the the Series 1 version of these excellent bang for the bucks speaker. Been using mine for well over 6 years and today it decided to die. I suspect one the drivers has failed as there was a terrible buzz when low notes where played through it.To my surprise, the local Bose rep where I live offered a no questions asked trade-in program for the latest SIII version at well almost a third off the retail price!Currently enjoying my brand new Companion 2. Looking forward to another great journey, thank you Bose!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Service I commented below that they sound great but didn't last long...a service rep contacted me and sent a replacement power supply, now I'm back working like new, even 6 or so months after the warranty expired. That's why it's best to buy quality to begin with and pay a little extra.Great service guys, I appreciate it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Name Says it All Bose speakers in my bedroom. Bose speakers in my den. Bose speakers on my TV. Bose speakers on my stereo. And now Bose speakers on my computer. And these little Giants will peel the paint off the living room walls! If you want sound so true you'll think the concert is "right here", make your next speaker purchase for your computer, a set of Bose Companion 2. You won't be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for getting your feet wet This is my first foray into Bose's lineup. After having owned them for about 2 weeks, I have to admit that I'm very satisfied. This simple 2.0 setup delivers clear, powerful sound. The highs and mids are clear across a variety of genres, and the bass is done well for a non 2.1 system (each of the speakers has a small bass vent at the back). They can also get reasonably loud (think movie in a large living room). I think the best part about them is that they're quite portable too, if you want to move them from your work desk to the TV or something. And from what I've heard about Bose products, they're also reasonably priced(?), which should help seal the deal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Speakers! I didn't hear a difference in sound when I tested them at the store. It was in the store I tested them in. I was hoping I will hear a difference in sound when I got them home and I do. They are so much better than the cheap speakers I had to keep buying because they stopped working. They also have bass. Definitely worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Companion series III I live on a small sailboat. I have two pair mounted in the extreme corners of my cabin driven through a splitter. I can tune the system to make the speakers disappear and have my music floating in space for complete sensory enjoyment. I simply love them. Thanks Dr. Bose

Rated 4 out of 5 by from excellent speakers for the desk I've bought this like a month ago, sound is solid, according to the speakers specs. Dont' expect high bass, expect quality of sound at some not so high volume. Quality and Price are matched.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice computer speakers. For the price, these speakers are a great value. As a long time Bose aficianado, allow me to say that Bose's continuing use of the RCA type connectors is a mystery to me. This is the digital age.
